Established in 2007, TaxAppraisal.org was formed to provide a resource for both residential and commercial property owners seeking to reduce their property tax burden.  In this current real estate environment, home values are eroding and property owners are seeing their equity position fall. Too often, property tax assessment values do not reflect the current market value of the property, leaving many owners paying more than their fair share of property taxes.  Unfortunately, the vast majority or property owners are unaware of their right to challenge the assessed value of their home and reduce the amount of taxes they pay.  Furthermore, The National Taxpayers Union estimates that 60% of homeowners in the U.S. have inaccurate information on their assessment, or their property is improperly assessed.   In contrast, commercial property owners typically have their assessments reviewed annually to reduce excess costs and increase profitability, however a large number of over-taxed commercial properties remain.  Finally, with the dramatic rise in foreclosures leading to banks owning a large number of properties that they have neither the time nor resources to manage, there are literally hundreds of thousands of bank-owned properties that remain overvalued.  The goal of TaxAppraisal.org is to be a property owner advocate group by utilizing our vast network of real estate and tax professionals to help alleviate the tax burden faced by these residential and commercial property owners. Residential Property Owners click here Commercial Property Owners click here
